Bears' Bilal Nichols ejected after punching Bucs' Ryan Jensen

Chicago's Bilal Nichols was ejected late in the third quarter of Sunday's game against Tampa Bay after punching Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen in the facemask.

A fourth-year defensive tackle who has started every game this season, it was unclear what led to Nichols punching Jensen, though it remains incredibly stupid for players to punch an opponent who is wearing a hard helmet.

He's not the only Bears player who has expressed such undisciplined behavior: Nichols is the third Chicago player to be ejected for throwing a punch over the past year, which doesn't reflect well on Matt Nagy as a head coach.

Nichols was credited with two tackles before exiting the 38-3 defeat.

Of course, given his team was getting blown out 35-3 at the time, maybe Nichols just didn't want to be part of the beatdown any longer.
