Baylor capped off its first spring under Matt Rhule with a really cool moment.

Clint Lewis, a 41-year-old man born with Down Syndrome, became part of the program as a manager back in 1995 and later became a full-time staff member, working with the equipment staff. For years he has led his beloved Bears out of the tunnel and onto the field, but on Saturday he actually got the chance to don the equipment.

And when he did, the coaching staff dialed up a trick play to Lewis. He came through with a big play and a touchdown, making for an awesome moment.

When Lewis scored, the entire Baylor team was there to celebrate with him in the end zone. How cool is that?

Baylor highlighted Lewis’ impact on the program with a video earlier this week.

“The thing that was really cool about this one is Clint’s been here for 22 years,” Rhule said after the game.

“I was just really, really excited to see how much it meant to our players. I think they were trying to get out of the scrimmage, because they kept dancing and dancing and dancing and chanting. But, it’s special when you know how much that person has given to you.”
