Baylor co-OC Matt Lubick joins Washington, his fourth school in three months
Matt Lubick is taking his fourth job in the past three months, as the Baylor co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach has joined Washington’s staff in the same capacity.
Lubick had joined the Bears in early January, shortly after Ole Miss had hired him to coach receivers. And he had joined the Rebels after serving as Oregon’s offensive coordinator and receivers coach in 2016.

“I am excited to add Matt to our coaching staff,” Washington coach Chris Petersen said in a release. “He has earned a national reputation as an innovative coaching mind and a successful recruiter. Equally as important, we believe he will be a terrific fit with our staff, players and the University of Washington.”
Lubick will replace Bush Hamdan, who left to become the Atlanta Falcons’ quarterbacks coach. He had spent the 2013-16 seasons on the Ducks’ staff, and he was not retained when the Ducks fired head coach Mark Helfrich after this past season.
Baylor head coach Matt Rhule is promoting quarterback coach Glenn Thomas to co-offensive coordinator, according to ESPN-Central Texas.
