Arsenal face an unwelcome 2,400-mile return journey to play BATE Borisov in the Europa League as they juggle three games in six days.

Monday's 2-0 win over West Brom is followed by the long journey to Belarus before welcoming Brighton to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The midweek trip is the longest the Gunners will face in the Europa League group stage, with the October 19 visit to Red Star Belgrade coming in at 150 miles nearer.

Arsene Wenger will again shuffle his deck and told reporters on Monday that there is "room for us to be different" in regards to players afforded minutes ahead of an expected youthful group.

BATE Borisov host Arsenal at Borisov Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 6pm BST on Thursday, September 28.

Team news

Arsene Wenger will again rotate his squad heavily, with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles coming in.

Arsenal host Brighton on Sunday in their third game in a six-day period, so unused substitutes against Koln like Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Chuba Akpom could also feature.

Mesut Ozil made a brief cameo off the bench in Monday's win over West Brom and could play a part after overcoming a knee injury.

Wenger told reporters on Monday: "We play in BATE Borisov on Thursday night and play Sunday morning at 12 o’clock here. So we look at the schedule over the weekend, we think there was some room for us to be different.

But we have to accept it and we want to go to Borisov with a team. I will go with a team of senior players and certainly with a young bench."
