ATP roundup: Paire captures title in Lyon

France's Benoit Paire held off fourth-seeded Canadian teen Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 6-3 to win the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes Lyon in Lyon, France on Saturday.

The victory denied Auger-Aliassime, 18, his first title and gave Paire his second championship in an as many months and third overall.

Paire is now 11-4 on clay this season after starting out 4-9 on hard courts.

Despite the loss, Auger-Aliassime is expected to rise to No. 22 in the world rankings this week.

No. 1 seed Alexander Zverev of Germany saved two match points in the third-set tiebreak and defeated Nicolas Jarry of Chile 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (8) to win a rain-interrupted final in Geneva, Switzerland.

It is the 11th title for Zverev and his first since the ATP Nitto Finals in London in November.

Both players held serve throughout the final set to set up a thrilling tiebreak, where Zverev took a 6-3 lead before the unseeded Jarry survived three match points.

Jarry served for the match at 7-6 and 8-7, but the world No. 5 rose to the challenge and posted his third consecutive three-set victory of the tournament.
