Arsene Wenger does not deserve a harsh punishment for shoving fourth official

In Arsenal’s next few games, Arsene Wenger may be sitting closer to the Alexis Sanchez dog banner than the touchline.

During the closing stages of the Gunners’ win over Burnley on Sunday, the Frenchman was sent to the stands for protesting a late penalty decision. But instead of retreating, he tried to watch the game from the tunnel, where he appeared to shove the fourth official.

Wenger has received an FA charge for misconduct and will soon discover the nature of his punishment. While some have called for lengthy bans, this FC Yahoo writer believes the Arsenal boss deserves leniency.
