Antonio Conte will want a win against Roma to put a stop to all the negative talk around the club.

Obviously, the pressure mounts following a defeat, but when Chelsea lose successive games, there is always going to be a lot made of it. This bad run needs to be addressed as quickly as possible - and tomorrow night gives them an opportunity to do that.

I am really surprised at what has happened since the superb display against Atletico Madrid. Chelsea were so impressive but have since been outplayed by Manchester City and Crystal Palace.

Playing so soon after the loss to Palace could be ideal. They’re at home, not under too much pressure in the group and can put in a performance to put things right.

Conte strikes me as the kind of manager that isn’t too affected by speculation about what’s going wrong or over his position. He just goes back to the training ground and gets everyone working again. Every time I see him lose, his mentality stays the same.

Chelsea will have to be wary about Edin Dzeko. He’s a great all-round striker who was top scorer in Serie A last season with 29 goals. Edin has started this season well too, with eight in 10 appearances and is a big danger in this kind of form because he can score every type of goal - he is good with his head, both feet and can strike the ball well.

It is normal that having played for City, he will want to show that little bit extra on his return. The same goes for another former City player in Aleksandar Kolarov.

It’s be a massive game for Roma because Atletico should beat Qarabag in their next two matches, so if they don’t get a draw at the Bridge, qualification will be in doubt.
