Antonio Conte: I'll keep my new beard as long as Chelsea keep winning games!

Antonio Conte has admitted he will keep his new-look beard as long as Chelsea keep winning games.

Conte emerged for his pre-West Brom press conference at Stamford Bridge on Friday sporting a new beard, which the Chelsea boss revealed he had grown at the request of his wife.

With Chelsea having beaten Manchester United 1-0 before the international break, the Blues now face a congested fixture list - starting with West Brom away on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawthorns was the scene of Chelsea's Premier League triumph last season, and Conte admitted on Friday that he will keep his new beard if the Blues secure all three points at West Brom this weekend.

"I don't know if it looks good, but my wife suggests that I tried for once, to try with a beard," Conte said.

"[It's] Not superstition. This is the first time. We can see tomorrow if this beard brings luck or not.

"But I repeat, this is the first time I've tried to change my look, but only because my wife decided."

When then asked whether he'd keep his beard if Chelsea keep winning games, the Italian replied: "Yes, yes.

"I hope at the end of the season to finish with a big beard."
