Yahoo Sports Antonio Brown says he will not play football in 2022
Antonio Brown won't be suiting up anywhere in 2022, according to Antonio Brown.
The emphatically former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver indicated he will not be playing football at all this season, and potentially never again professionally, during an appearance at a Fan Controlled Football game Saturday.

Brown's full exchange on his future in football:
Q: "Is football still important to you, would you say?"
A: “Obviously, we live the game, but you can’t play forever. I think I’m a great player that’s done everything in the game.”
Q: "We gonna see you playing next season?"
A: “Nah, don’t play yourself looking at me to play.”
Brown last appeared on an NFL field on Jan. 2, when he infamously quit the Buccaneers in the middle of a game over a disagreement on his readiness to play following an ankle injury. Since then, Brown has said he will not undergo a needed surgery on his ankle until a team signs him, which still has not happened.
Brown later tweeted his intention to retire as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a tweet that is still pinned to his profile. Of course, Brown burned just about every bridge in sight when he left the team that originally drafted him.
For now, Brown seems focused on his rap career:
"I do what I want. Obviously, I'm a 12-year veteran, one of the best players of all time. My job is to live. Life is about living, we're all going to die. It's not you to find out about what I'm going to do. Obviously, I'm a rapper. I do shows. I'm an independent business man. Business is booming."
