Another real estate sign is coming to Hartman Arena, but new owner isn’t flipping it

Jeff Lange of Lange Real Estate has closed on his purchase of Hartman Arena in Park City through an entity called TCRS LLC.

One of his company’s real estate signs will be coming to the site in the next week, which may make it look like Lange is flipping the property.

“That’s not what we’re doing,” said Joe Robertson, brand manager for the Lange Cos.

“We’re going to be developing the area around the building.”

The arena is on just over 31 acres, and there are almost 13 acres left to develop.

Robertson said the idea is to “grow what the arena could be.”

That includes the space between the frontage road and I-135, which likely will include some restaurants. There are three pad sites along the interstate.

Robertson said the idea is to create a place for more than arena events, “to where it’s more of a destination.”

“We want to be able to create that environment.”

Lange plans to keep Hartman Arena as a venue, but Robertson said the hope is to expand events and programming there. He’s not sharing details until he has some finalized deals to share.

For now, the arena will keep the Hartman name. Robertson said there will be future opportunities for naming sponsorships.

Along with a development group called Champtown Partnership, Lange also is working on a potential sales tax and revenue bonds district just south of the arena with plans for more entertainment venues and restaurants among other things.

Also, Lange also is working with Park City on a new downtown district called Park Centre, which will include a park along with residential and commercial space on 48 acres.

As Robertson said, “We’ve got a lot going on in Park City.”
