Andre Brown visiting Texans

The Houston Texans are in the market for a backup running back and are welcoming a visit from one that would seemingly be a fit.

Andre Brown, who has been with the Giants the past three seasons, will visit the Texans, according to multiple reports. Brown bounced around early in his NFL career before settling into a niche role in New York.

Brown has only been a contributor for the Giants the past two seasons, running for a combined 877 yards and and 11 touchdowns.

Brown was only available for the final eight games of the 2013 regular season due to a broken leg sustained in the preseason.

There was a chance that Brown could have started to open the season if he would have stayed healthy. However, he hasn't received any looks in free agency to be a starter elsewhere.

But in today's NFL, more teams are using a two-back rotation so Brown should find a role with another team for the 2014 season.
