The United States failed to qualified for the 2018 World Cup next month in Russia, but its presence will still be felt — at least slightly.

Will Smith will join Nicky Jam and Kosovo singer Era Istrefi on the official song of the 2018 World Cup, which is set to be released on Friday. According to an interview with Nicky Jam’s manager, Smith is in Budapest with Nicky Jam putting the “final touches” on the Diplo-produced track.

Smith’s last album — “Lost and Found” — was released in 2005, and he’ll have big shoes to fill to live up to past anthems like Shakira’s “Waka Waka” and Ricky Martin’s “The Cup of Life.” While there are multiple songs associated with the world event, the official anthem is generally the song that is remembered from the games

According to Billboard.com, Nicky Jam and Smith have been connecting over social media for months, with the pair posting videos singing karaoke of the others’ songs. Smith even asked Nicky Jam to remix Jaden Smith’s hit song “Icon,” too.

The World Cup kicks off on June 14 and runs through July 15 at multiple sites across Russia.

And who knows? If all goes well, maybe The Fresh Prince will even treat World Cup fans with a few throwback tracks.
