Alex Radulov bloodied by Logan Couture high stick (Video)

Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Radulov was bloodied after he took a high stick from San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture late in their Friday game.

During an offensive zone opportunity for the Habs, Couture got his stick up under Radulov’s visor. The Canadiens forward went down and clutched his face as blood streamed out. Couture received a double-minor for high sticking and Radulov went to the Canadiens locker room.

The play occurred with 4:06 remaining in the third period and the Sharks up 2-0. Canadiens forward Artturi Lehkonen scored with 1:17 left to put the game at 2-1, but the Habs couldn’t tie the game and fell to 1-2-0 on their current road trip and 0-2-0 during the California portion of the voyage. Radulov did not return to the game.

UPDATE: After the game it was reported Radulov took stitches on his right eyebrow and was fine.
