Al-Nassr are set to compete with Serie A outfits for Lille’s Jonathan David.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, Jonathan David is being pursued by Al-Nassr alongside Juventus and Inter. The Saudi Arabian club will have no financial problem to complete the transfer this January and will bid for him as soon as the winter transfer window opens.

The Canadian striker will not renew his contract with Lille; his current deal expires in July. While Juventus have no chance of signing him next month as they will have to make a non-EU space vacant for him, Inter are probing Bologna’s Santiago Castro and might go for the Argentine instead of David.

Al-Nassr manager Stefano Pioli studied David’s skills and abilities when he was the Milan coach and will attempt to bring him as a statement signing. The Cristiano Ronaldo-captained side are ready to pay €7/8 million as commissions to the player’s agent and another €7 million in wages. Al-Nassr are expected to approach Lille with €15 million as transfer fees in January to seal the deal for David.
