Adi Hütter provides positive update on Folarin Balogun’s recovery
AS Monaco manager Adi Hütter has provided a positive update on Folarin Balogun’s (23) recovery from a dislocated shoulder, which he suffered earlier this month.
Balogun suffered the injury against Stade Rennais in the final game before the international break. He subsequently pulled out of the USMNT squad and before the return of Ligue 1 football, it was announced that he was expected to miss around two months of action, which put his participation in the UEFA Champions League encounter against his former club, Arsenal, in doubt.

However, Balogun participated in first-team training at Monaco’s performance centre in La Turbie on Friday, alluding to the former Arsenal forward being ahead of schedule in his recovery. In a press conference, attended by Get French Football News, Hütter provided an update on his progress.
“He was in the warm-up today. It takes time though. He needs time but he is on the right path with his rehab. It doesn’t look bad at the moment. You have to be careful about the shoulder in every duel, even running. It looks good at the moment but he needs a little bit of time. It looks like he could be back earlier on the pitch,” said Hütter.
