A fan exiting Monday night’s game between the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans died after falling from a “severe height” at Mile High stadium, according to The Denver Post and other media reports.

The Associated Press estimated the unidentified fan’s fall from the stadium’s north side at 30-50 feet. Medical personnel responded to a 911 call from Gate 5 around 9:44 p.m. local time, shortly after the game concluded, and the fan was pronounced dead at Denver Health Medical Center, reports said.

“A fan was taken to the hospital after falling over a stairwell railing at Sports Authority Field at Mile High shortly after Monday night’s game,” Stadium Management Company, which oversees the Broncos’ stadium, said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with the injured fan, and we are in the process of learning more about this incident from the Denver Police Department’s investigation.”

This is the third incident involving a fan falling at the stadium since 2013, KMGH-TV reported. A fan fell 10 feet from an escalator at a preseason game in August 2013, and another suffered a serious head injury in a fall between concrete stairwell landings while chasing a friend’s hat in September 2015.
