Cookie Co.

Snap a picture in front of this cutely decorated wall to show your friends how much you love Kansas City. The gourmet cookies, with rotating specialty flavors, act as both a sweet treat and a prop.

Family Tree Nursery

Plants make people happy. It’s a no-brainer, then, that Family Tree Nursery would wind up on the list. The Cafe Equinox coffee shop inside Shawnee’s location offers both tasty espresso drinks and artsy vibes.

Kate Smith Soiree

Not only is this spot one of Johnson County’s favorite places to have dessert, but it contains one of the most photographed walls in Overland Park. The macarons and cakes might be just as adorable as the post you’re going to make.

Aztec Shawnee Theater

If you love the retro look, this theater in downtown Shawnee might be the next star of your feed. This vintage venue also hosts live music, with a list of upcoming shows available at aztecshawnee.com.

Lenexa Public Market

Snap pictures in this artful cityscape while browsing the district’s shops. Bonus points if you order breakfast at Butterfield’s Bakery & Market — the treats served on faux newspapers are especially appealing (but we might be biased).

Cafe Provence

Most of us can’t have brunch at a cafe in Paris — sipping coffee out of a saucer and biting into a croissant while we read our favorite novel — but we certainly can pretend. This French cafe, conveniently located in Kansas, was named one of the top 100 restaurants in the U.S. by Open Table several years in a row.

Our final installation isn’t exactly a local secret, but it’s too full of photo opportunities to leave off. Flowers, taco trucks and historic Downtown Overland Park — it sounds like the perfect afternoon to us.
