49ers sign fullback Bruce Miller to three-year extension
The San Francisco 49ers have reached a three-year contract extension with fullback Bruce Miller, the team announced.
Miller ended last season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury suffered against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Miller is a hard-nosed blocker with a good reputation in NFL circles for his punishing lead blocks for running back Frank Gore.
A converted defensive end, Miller caught 25 passes for 243 yards.
MIller is valued for his toughness and versatility
