On tap today:

This is it, folks. We have reached the end of the Rio Olympics. Join me in a sigh of sadness.

Ending the Olympics will be Team USA basketball fighting for its third consecutive gold medal, Claressa Shields attempts to repeat as a gold medalist and the Closing Ceremony finishes out the whole shindig.

From the Yahoo viewer’s guide, we bid you adieu.

Morning slots:

Starting the day off will be the men’s marathon where American Galen Rupp will be running the streets of Rio just eight days after running the 10000-meter race at 8 a.m. ET. Also in the field is Meb Keflezighi of the United States, who won a silver medal in the marathon in 2004 and will be the oldest Olympic marathoner ever. USA men’s volleyball also is in action at 8 a.m. ET on USA network, vying for a bronze medal against Russia.

Then there are choices to be made at 10:30 a.m. ET. On NBCSN, Australia and Spain will be competing for a bronze medal in men’s basketball. Spain is looking to medal for a third consecutive Olympics, while Australia is looking for their first medal in the event ever.

Rhythmic Gymnastics will be in the group final stage to close out the morning slots at 11 a.m. ET on NBC.

Afternoon slots:

Will be a lot of hardware being handed out after noon ET. Men’s volleyball starts things off at 12:15 p.m. ET on NBC where Brazil, the volleyball-crazy host nation now that soccer is over, will face off against Italy for the gold medal.

Depending on the a.m. matches, American Kyle Synder could be wrestling for a gold medal at 12:30 p.m on NBCSN. Following that will be boxer Claressa Shields of the United States facing Nouchka Fontijn of the Netherlands to try and secure her second straight gold medal.

This will be your last chance to catch handball when Denmark and France match up for a gold medal on the USA Network at 1:15 p.m. ET.

Ending the Olympic athletic events will be the USA basketball team fighting to win its third straight gold at 2:15 p.m. ET on NBC. Serbia was one shot away from tying the game the last time these two teams faced off in group play. This gold medal will not come easy.

Primetime slots:

If you want an emotional synopsis of the Olympics, tune in to NBC at 7 p.m. ET where Rio Gold will give an hour long recap of the Rio Games.

The Closing Ceremony will start the night 8 p.m. signifying the official end of the Rio Olympic Games. Like the Opening Ceremony, it will include a cultural section as Rio says goodbye to the rest of the world. Norwegian artist Kygo is also expected to perform during the ceremony to promote the new Olympic channel.

Also included in the Closing Ceremony with the passing of the Olympic flag to the next summer host, Tokyo, and the extinguishing of the Olympic flame.

Thanks for a wild Olympic games, Rio.
