Kris Bryant was the star for the Chicago Cubs, who seem to be returning to form in MLB.
Brandon McCarthy and Adrian Gonzalez showed good they can be when they're healthy. McCarthy retired his first 14 batters and allowed one run over six innings, Gonzalez had three hits and three RBIs, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Miami Marlins 6-3 Sunday. Gonzalez, who just came off the disabled list on Friday after missing 12 games due to a sore right elbow and back problems, had his first three-hit game of the season to help the Dodgers win three of four against the Marlins to open a 10-game homestand.
Zack Greinke was dominant again, looking a lot like the pitcher who went 19-3 with a 1.66 ERA two years ago. Greinke struck out a season-high 12 and came within one out of a complete game as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Chicago White Sox 5-1 on Monday night. ''It was another Zack moment for us,'' manager Torey Lovullo said.
