Player Notes
Jason Kipnis launched a two-run homer Friday against the Phillies.

Advice: The Indians were held scoreless after Kipnis’ two-run blast off Adam Morgan in the fifth inning. The 29-year-old has two home runs and five RBI over his last four games, but he continues to strike out at an alarming rate. He fanned two more times on Friday and has struck out in 32.6 percent of his plate appearances so far this season. That’s almost double where he was last year.

Jason Kipnis hit his second home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Twins.

Advice: Kipnis got the Indians on the board early, taking Twins starter Ricky Nolasco out to right for a solo homer. The home run was his first in almost two weeks and just his second overall. A modest six-game hitting streak has helped the 29-year-old raise his numbers in recent days, and he's hitting .282/.329/.423 with two homers, eight RBI, 10 runs scored and three steals to date.
