Player Notes
Jason Castro went 2-for-4 with a walk, a two-run homer, and two runs scored in Tuesday's triumph over the Mariners.

Advice: Castro's two-run first-inning shot off Erasmo Ramirez gifted Houston a lead that Collin McHugh protected without drama. Castro entered this game batting .193, but he's been taking walks and hitting for some power, so tonight didn't come out of the blue. The 26-year-old backstop is now slashing .213/.329/.459 with four homers (ninth in AL) and nine RBI.

Jason Castro is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: It appears to be just a routine day of rest for the young backstop after a night game on Friday. Carlos Corporan will get the call behind the dish and hit eighth against opposing southpaw Scott Kazmir.
