Player Notes
Ryan Braun went 2-for-5 with a game-tying solo home run in the ninth inning of Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: With Pirates closer Jason Grilli on to finish the game, Braun took a slider deep to left to knot the score at 2-2. The homer was Braun's sixth of the season. He's also got 14 RBI and is batting .300 for the year, bad thumb and all.

Ryan Braun went 3-for-5 with two homers and three RBI in Saturday's 8-7 comeback win over the Pirates.

Advice: Braun hit a solo shot in the seventh inning to get the Brewers back within one run and then slugged a go-ahead two-run bomb in the top of the ninth. He boasts a .919 OPS, five homers, and 13 RBI in 16 games this season, and seems to be managing his thumb injury just fine.

Ryan Braun is back in Thursday's lineup against the Pirates.

Advice: Braun was given the afternoon off on Wednesday, but he'll bat third Thursday against right-hander Edinson Volquez. Look for him to continue to get occasional rest for his thumb.

Ryan Braun is not in the Brewers' lineup Wednesday.

Advice: Braun has taken some ugly swings so far in the series against the Cardinals, as it appears his thumb might be bothering him again. Logan Schafer is getting the start in right field against Joe Kelly.
