Player Notes
Ryan Zimmerman is getting the day off Monday.

Advice: It's just a routine day of maintenance for the veteran first baseman. Clint Robinson will start at first base and bat seventh versus Phillies righty Jake Thompson.

Ryan Zimmerman smacked a solo homer on a 3-for-4 night at the plate on Saturday versus the Braves.

Advice: The home run came in the second inning to produce the first of his team's 11 runs in the slugfest. He ended up with two RBI and two runs scored. He is in the midst of a disappointing season, batting .229 with 13 homers and 40 RBI in 340 plate appearances.

Nationals activated 1B Ryan Zimmerman from the 15-day disabled list.

Advice: Zimmerman has been rehabbing his injured wrist at Triple-A Syracuse in recent days and feels he's ready to return. The 31-year-old is hitting just .222/.284/.394 with 12 homers and 38 RBI in 302 at-bats in what has been another injury-plagued season.

Ryan Zimmerman (wrist) will be activated from the disabled list on Saturday.

Advice: He was originally slated to come off the DL Friday, but after a day of travel the Nats decided to push him back a day. Jose Lobaton (elbow) will also be activated on Saturday instead.
