Player Notes
Jonny Gomes went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a two-run home run to help the Braves beat the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Gomes gave the Braves a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run blast off of Jorge De La Rosa. He'd add an RBI single in the fifth to extend the Braves' lead to 4-2. It was Gomes' first start since August 15. The veteran has had his moments, but has largely been unimpressive, batting .214/.320/.348 with six home runs and 20 RBI in 219 plate appearances.
