    Celebrini, Fantilli out for Canada at world hockey championship

    BUDAPEST, Hungary — Teen forwards Macklin Celebrini and Adam Fantilli have decided to return to North America ahead of the start of the world men's hockey championship, Hockey Canada announced Tuesday. Hockey Canada says Celebrini planned to attend Tuesday night's NHL draft lottery. The 17-year-old is projected as the first overall pick in this year's NHL draft. Fantilli, 19, is electing to focus on next season with the Columbus Blue Jackets after his rookie campaign was cut short after 49 games

    Josh Davies scores double OT winner, sends Winterhawks to WHL final

    PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Josh Davies scored at 5:40 of double overtime, Jan Spunar made 48 saves and the Portland Winterhawks edged the Prince George Cougars 2-1 Monday to advance to the Western Hockey League final. The Winterhawks won the best-of-seven Western Conference series 4-2. They'll face the winner of the Eastern Conference final between the Saskatoon Blades and Moose Jaw Warriors.     OSHAWA, Ont. — Dylan Roobroeck's three-point night lifted the Oshawa Generals into the Ontario Hockey League championship series on Monday.     WHL: Warriors edge Blades 4-3 in OT to force Game 7 in Eastern Conference final

    MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Lynden Lakovic scored the overtime winner for the Moose Jaw Warriors in a 4-3 win Sunday over the Saskatoon Blades, and forced a Game 7 in their Western Hockey League playoff series. Lakovic scored at 2:57 of OT to push the Eastern Conference final to a seventh game Tuesday in Saskatoon.
