    Featherweight Charles (Air) Jourdain has been added to UFC 303, joining fellow Canadians Gillian (The Savage) Robertson and Marc-Andre (Powerbar) Barriault on Irish star Conor McGregor's comeback fight card. Jourdain (15-7-1) will take on Brazil's Jean (Lord) Silva on the June 29 mixed martial arts show at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.     Giants' Jung Hoo Lee to have season-ending surgery on dislocated left shoulder

    SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee will miss the rest of the season after dislocating his left shoulder while crashing into an outfield wall. The Giants announced Friday that Lee will have season-ending surgery in the next couple of weeks. Lee leaped in an attempt to catch a drive from Cincinnati’s Jeimer Candelario on Sunday when he hit the right-center field wall. Lee went on the injured list the following day, had an MRI that revealed the severity of the injury

    Canada earns 3-1 win over China in women's Volleyball Nations League

    RIO DE JANEIRO — Kiera Van Ryk of Surrey, B.C., had a game-high 27 points as Canada defeated China 3-1 in women's Volleyball Nations League on Friday. Canada, ranked 11th in the world, won the opening set 25-22 before No. 6 China took the second set 25-20. Canada responded by winning the third set 25-23 and finished China off with a 25-22 fourth-set victory. Canadian captain Alexa Gray of Calgary added 21 points. Canada's women are still vying for a place at this summer's Olympic Games in Paris.
