    Former KHL club CSKA Moscow goaltender Ivan Fedotov joins Philadelphia Flyers

    PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Nine years after he was drafted by Philadelphia, goalie Ivan Fedotov has joined the Flyers. Fedotov — whose NHL career was delayed following a forced stint in Russian military service — had his contract in Russia’s KHL terminated Thursday by CSKA Moscow. Fedotov and Flyers general manager Danny Briere are set to meet the media on Friday at the team's headquarters in New Jersey.     'Energetic' coach Vanni Sartini set to return to Vancouver Whitecaps

    VANCOUVER — Vanni Sartini has done a lot of self reflection lately. Barred from the Vancouver Whitecaps' first four games of the Major League Soccer season, the club's head coach has had time. The animated Italian was handed a five-game suspension and a $20,000 fine in November for his on-field actions and post-game comments after a playoff loss to Los Angeles FC that ended the Whitecaps season.
