GUELPH, Ont. — The Toronto Argonauts re-signed veteran CFL quarterback Nick Arbuckle on Sunday. Arbuckle, 30, spent time with Toronto in 2021, He appeared in seven games with four starts, before being dealt later than season to Edmonton. The six-foot-two, 213-pound Arbuckle started two games last season with Ottawa. He became a CFL free agent in February. Arbuckle began his CFL career with Calgary in 2018. The CFL will implement adjustments to its rules on low block and command centre intervention in 2024. Backfield players, regardless of their position at the snap, can now cross the offensive formation and deliver a low block on a defensive player who is lined up across from or outside the offensive tackle.
