Star's toddler is highlight of Cubs postgame celebration

Jake Arrieta was sure to include his most valuable teammate in the celebration of his complete-game shutout last night.

Arrieta’s son Cooper was seen pouring champagne into his dad’s mouth to celebrate the Cubs first playoff win since 2003.

Cooper is more than just his dad’s sommelier, he helps him train in the offseason. Arrieta often straps his son and daughter to his chest, a total of approximately 80 pounds, and goes on hikes as long as 15 miles near his home in Austin, Texas.

In his third season with the Cubs, the 29-year old had his best season yet, compiling 22 wins and a 1.77 ERA. Perhaps part of the reason for his success is his adorable three-year old son.
