Andre Miller and Kevin Love throw ridiculous outlet passes

One has received notoriety this season for a strange ending to his time with the Denver Nuggets. The other may have suffered from Pierce-itis. But Washington Wizards guard Andre Miller and Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love made positive headlines Monday night for bringing back a lost art in the NBA: the outlet pass.

First, we look at Miller's long bomb. During the second quarter of an eventual 114-93 victory over Miami, Miller rebounded a three-point attempt by Mario Chalmers and threw it — flat-footed — to Bradley Beal for an easy layup. Impressive. But Love's toss may have been even more impressive.

In the opening quarter of Golden State's 130-120 win over Minnesota, the rebounding machine scooped up the rock after David Lee converted a bucket and heaved it to Corey Brewer at the other end of the court. What made Love's launch truly ridiculous was he made the move all in one motion and completed the pass on one foot.

Adding insult to injury

Moving to baseball, Pittsburgh Pirates right fielder Travis Snider had a Todd Frazier pop fly bounce off his left cheek during the fourth inning of the Buccos' game against the Cincinnati Reds. It was initially ruled a foul ball but upon review, Frazier was awarded a double.

Good luck with that

Finally in NFL news, the St. Louis Rams are offering a $100,000 to anyone that can "accurately predict" the team's 2014 regular season schedule. Here's how to enter.
