Mystery shoveler clears off Boston Marathon finish line

A blizzard dusted the Northeast early in the week, but at least one mysterious shovel-carrier decided to take a stand against snow. Someone cleared off the famed finish line of the Boston Marathon, making for a nice contrast to Mother Nature's white-out.

While calling the mystery shoveler a "hero" might be a bit much, the finish line made for a nice visual metaphor of the city's resilience and willingness to rebound from adversity. There's a move underfoot to find the shoveler, using the hashtag #whoshoveledthefinishline on Twitter. And while there will probably be half a dozen "shovelers" who come forth, the real shoveler knows what he or she did. Nice work, sir or ma'am.
