Heyman Hustle on Yahoo Sports: Why Dean Ambrose will be a bigger star after WrestleMania 32

The “Heyman Hustle” and Yahoo Sports have partnered up to provide wrestling fans with exclusive content during WrestleMania week on The Turnstile blog. In his fifth blog post, Paul Heyman talks about how Dean Ambrose will be a bigger star after facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32.

Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and although I am primarily known as an #ADVOCATE, I have added to my list of responsibilities this weekend and will now serve as your official weatherman for WrestleMania 32. Therefore, it is my duty to inform you that an F5 is about to touch down at AT&T Stadium tomorrow, But have no fear, your families are safe. This F5 is scheduled to cause damage primarily to one person. And that person's name is Dean Ambrose.

The marketing of the No Holds Barred Street Fight pitting Ambrose against my client (let's all say his name together, shall we?) BROCK LESNAR is quite interesting. The theory is that by making the match a No Holds Barred Street Fight, Ambrose has a fighting chance against the former NCAA Division I heavyweight champion and former undisputed UFC world heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, since it the premise of a "Weapons are legal, indeed encouraged" No Holds Barred Street Fight that would take the grappler (Lesnar) out of his element.

In fact, it theoretically stacks the deck in favor of Ambrose, the lunatic who runs the asylum and a noted street fighter who spent the early part of his career in exactly this type of No Holds Barred affair.

So, is Dean Ambrose the man to conquer the conqueror of the greatest streak in sports entertainment history? Is the “Lunatic Fringe” the one to beat the one in what's now 22-1? Unfortunately for the legions of Dean Ambrose fans, the answer is a resounding NO!

I will say that Dean Ambrose will emerge from WrestleMania a far bigger superstar than he is at this moment, and he's already one of the most popular WWE superstars in the entire world. The 100,000 fans attending WrestleMania live (and those watching on the WWE Network) will marvel at the balls it took for Dean Ambrose to face the beating he's guaranteed to receive at the hands of Brock Lesnar. The WWE universe will applaud Dean Ambrose and shower him with respect, admiration and adulation after witnessing their hero being taken to Suplex City, all in a slow evil torturous process leading up to the F5. I can't think of a better way for Dean Ambrose to connect with people across the globe than for him to valiantly walk into a battle he himself knows is fait accompli.

Tomorrow night, you have one of those rare opportunities to see a once-ever athlete do his thing, and do it in his prime, in front of the largest crowd in WWE history, on a grand stage he has already conquered. My compliments to Dean Ambrose for all the publicity he's garnered going into this year's WrestleMania. But the fantasy of Ambrose as Slayer of the Beast is just that.

A fantasy.
