Novak Djokovic celebrates 29th birthday at French Open

Before he begins his quest for French Open glory, Novak Djokovic took some time to celebrate his 29th birthday Sunday. While the action at Roland Garros was delayed due to rain, tournament organizer Guy Forget presented the world No. 1 with a birthday cake.

Though he surely appreciated the gesture, there’s no doubt Djokovic would like to receive his true gift in a couple of weeks.

Djokovic isn’t the only player looking for a bit of birthday magic. The tournament’s semifinals are scheduled for June 3, which just happens to be nine-time champion Rafael Nadal’s birthday. So, it’s possible we could see a birthday showdown.

Barring any more inclement weather, Djokovic will start his French Open campaign Monday.
