This is what happens when ballet meets bicycles

Popular sports tend to inspire modern hybrids, especially in the summer months. Brazilians' love of both soccer and the Copacabana spawned futevolei in the 1970's, and whoever first decided to put a basketball hoop beside a pool deserves a spot in the (imaginary) YouTube Hall of Fame, if not the Naismith Hall of Fame.

Two sports you might not expect to converge with this level of harmony: ballet and bicycling. But a viral video posted to YouTube Monday will quickly have you thinking otherwise.

The video, captured during the General Sports Association of Austria’s 'Vorarlberg Sportverband 'event, depicts a mesmerizing floor routine in which a woman effortlessly performs acrobatic maneuvers while stunt-riding a bicycle.  You need to see it to believe it.

Hopefully this unique sport is here to stay.
