Veria striker Carlo Costly invents the “shoe phone” goal celebration

Not only does Carlo Costly have a brilliant name, but he's dreamt up a brilliant new goal celebration that literally tens of people will now try to imitate.

After opening the scoring during a Greek Cup match with Xanthi, the Viera striker pulled off his left boot and proceeded to use it like a mobile phone. Perhaps he was calling his mother to tell her he still doesn't do his laces up tight enough.

UPDATE: It turns out Costly is no cleat-telecommunication-device trailblazer. Emilio Renteria also pulled off the same celebration a few seasons ago for Columbus Crew (watch from [1.50] in this video). Thanks to @cmacchi24 for the tip.
