Valencia’s Adil Rami scores superb goal from inside his own half

Valencia beat Segunda División B side Llagostera 3-1 at the Estadio Mestalla on Wednesday night, sending them through to the next round of the Copa del Rey 5-1 on aggregate.

The highlight of the evening was Adil Rami's brilliant 15th-minute opener, which he put away with aplomb from behind the half-way line. Unlike the delicate looping 50-yard effort that kickstarted David Beckham's career, the Corsican defender absolutely drilled the ball to beat a keeper who didn't appear to be that far off his goal line.
