Shot from distance bounces off goalkeeper’s hands, ends up in the net

Diego Penny, goalkeeper for Peruvian Primera Division champions Sporting Cristal, was all ready to a make a routine save when UTC's Mauro Vila took a shot from distance. In fact, Penny didn't even have to move as the half-volley floated down, directly toward his waiting hands. But then came the stuff of nightmares for goalkeepers. What looked to be an easy save went very wrong as the ball bounced off his hands and squirted into the net to give UTC an equalizer.

In the replay on the video above, you can see the spin on the ball that Penny apparently didn't judge properly. And now he will probably start wrapping his gloves in double-sided duct tape before every match.
