Roberto Mancini, Man City players record Manchester tram announcements

To "get fans in the mood" on matchdays, Roberto Mancini, Vincent Kompany, Joe Hart and James Milner have all recorded tram announcements that will be used on Metrolink's new east Manchester line connecting Etihad Stadium with the center of the city.

From the Telegraph:

They will be heard for the first time on Sunday, when Manchester City take on Leeds United in the FA Cup.

Passengers will have to struggle through Mancini's thick Italian accent as he says, "this is Roberto Mancini from Manchester City. This is the Droylsden service. The next stop will be the Etihad Campus."

"Struggle" might be an overstatement, but it's a shame they couldn't get Mario Balotelli to record a message before he left. Something like: "This is Mario Balotelli. The weather is horrible here. Don't read The Sun. The next stop is my house."
