Megan Rapinoe scores lovely goal, Alex Morgan suffers injury in U.S.'s 5-0 win over Guatemala
The U.S. quickly shut down any doubts that sprung up after their 1-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago on Wednesday by beating Guatemala 5-0. The goals came early and often with Tobin Heath, who finished with a brace, opening the scoring in just the seventh minute and Megan Rapinoe adding an emphatic final goal from distance in the second half.
The one negative for the U.S. was the loss of Alex Morgan in the 37th minute. The star striker, who missed seventh months after suffering a left ankle injury in 2013, sprained that very same ankle and had to be carried off on a stretcher. Tests later revealed that she will need to miss 4-6 weeks and the remaineder of the World Cup qualifying tournament to heal. Though this is a tremendous loss for the team, they did perform well in her absence, scoring four of their five goals after she came off.

The U.S. remain top of Group A in the CONCACAF Championship with six points from two matches. Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti are both on three points and Guatemala are last with none. The U.S.'s final group-stage match will come against Haiti on Monday.
