Galatasaray-Juventus match abandoned due to snow, Felipe Melo enjoys the moment

Galatasaray hosted Juventus in the final round of Champions League group-stage play with the winner advancing to the knockout phase (if no one wins, it will be Juventus). The match began in perfectly fine weather conditions, but midway through the first half hail and snow started to fall. Galatasaray's Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo seemed to enjoy the unusual Istanbul weather, but 32 minutes in, the officials decided to stop play since the lines on the pitch were no longer visible.

After taking a look at the weather report and not seeing much hope for it letting up, the match was abandoned. The match will resume from the 32nd minute on Wednesday, as long as the weather permits.

As disappointing as the situation was, some Galatasaray fans were able to make the most of it.
