DTotD: Roberto Soldado steps on Falcao’s head

Just before scoring his lovely goal to help Valencia give Atletico Madrid their first loss of the season on Saturday, Roberto Soldado inadvertently stepped on Falcao's head, opening up a bloody wound on the Colombian goal machine.

Falcao went down in front of Valencia's goalkeeper as Soldado cleared the ball and stepped backwards to keep his balance. That backwards step landed right on Falcao's forehead though, turning it into a bloody mess. Falcao played the rest of the match with a headwrap and failed to score for the first time in 11 matches across all competitions (at both the international and club level).

This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
