Breno is on the fast track to becoming the Bundesliga's Mario Balotelli. Last September, the Brazilian center-back spent time in prison after being accused of burning down his own house, only for the German side to pay his €500,000 bail.
He further angered Die Roten this week by criticizing them on his Twitter feed: "In this phase I am going through at Bayern they are messing with me," he wrote after being forced to play a match with the reserves, clearly unaware of how much he had messed with Bayern by becoming a suspected arsonist. According to Kicker, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge issued Breno a 'yellow card', warning him that a further bout of naughtiness would land him in serious trouble.
Breno didn't stay out of mischief for long. On Tuesday, the 22-year-old defender took the day off training, claiming he was sick. Instead of resting up, however, he pulled a Ferris Bueller, heading out to get two tattoos done instead.
Rather than punish the player for this bold disobedience, manager Jupp Heynckes has taken a softer approach. Yahoo! reports:
"This is all very unfortunate and should not happen," Heynckes told reporters on Thursday. "But this is not the moment to start beating the young man.
"He must not overstretch it but he is more in need of support and help than punishment," said Heynckes before adding Breno had gone through a difficult time in his life.
The nature of Breno's difficulties are not clear, but he has yet to make an appearance for Bayern this season, and has only featured sparingly since his €12.5m transfer from Sao Paolo in 2008. Which would suggest he has the free time to get tattoos done outside of training hours.
