Amateur side Playford FC tries to attract kit sponsors by playing in its underwear

As the marketeers at Crystal Palace ably demonstrated, producing a YouTube video that shows a little skin can help generate a huge amount of interest around a football club. Players of Sunday League side Playford FC have followed suit, but instead of using supple lip-synching cheerleaders, they've captured their own pasty underwear-clad bodies and thrown some LMFAO over it. You will surely agree that the results are just as sexy.

Club president Simon Goldsmith explained to the Ipswich Star that playing with no kit is a great way to attract kit sponsors, even though they didn't really want to have to resort to it:

"It is sad that it has come to this but hopefully it will really take off and spread.

"I hope a local company sees the potential and the initiative and get behind us.

"We are a good honest team, at the nicer end of the Sunday football league spectrum."

The Suffolk side is looking for at least £750 ($1,173 USD) to pay for new kits, match balls, end-of-season trophies and "commemorative booklets." If you want to help the East Anglian players commemorate their underpants-based achievements in booklet form, get in touch with them here.
