Dominique Dawes tells of her awful prom experience

The gold-medal-winning U.S. women's gymnastics team is made up of high schoolers. Just like any high schoolers, the gymnasts go to prom. Aly Raisman told Fourth-Place Medal that she was so happy to go to prom because she had to miss her graduation ceremony for the national championship in June.

But not every gymnast has fond memories. Three-time Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes talked to USA Today about how she didn't want to go to prom, but her coach and high school counselor did some maneuvering behind her back to make sure she went.

Dawes was nice enough to feel bad about being prom queen over the popular girls instead of wearing her medals to the prom to laugh in their face.
