American figure skater Jason Brown has a special Valentine's message for American ski jumper Sarah Hendrickson

American 19-year-old figure skater Jason Brown finished ninth in his first-ever Olympic Games on Friday night, and, apparently, that was all the confidence he needed to make a bold Valentine’s Day statement on the NBC Olympics Twitter feed:

Sarah Hendrickson is a fellow Olympian and was the first woman ever to compete in women’s ski jumping. (She drew bib No. 1 in the competition). Hendrickson is also 19 years old and competing in her first Olympic Games. She suffered a torn ACL and MCL last August, and though she was placed on the Olympic team, her knee injury was too much to overcome during the Games, and she failed to medal.

But this should brighten her day.

Brown has become a sensation in Sochi thanks to his ponytail and the Riverdance routine he did in the free skate on Friday. He’s also a bit of a celebrity in his hometown of Highland Park, Ill., where crowds gathered to watch his performance and an ice sculpture of his likeness was erected downtown as a tribute to his Olympic appearance.

So, who knows? Maybe these two budding Olympic stars could be the next great Olympic power couple all thanks to a whiteboard and a cute gesture by one of America’s youngest Winter Olympians.
