Young Flyers fan disgusted by Penguins Christmas gift gets huge surprise (Video)

Christmas morning! A time for young hockey fans all over the world to tear into wrapping paper and uncover that special new jersey for their favorite team.

Unless, of course, you’re Kohlsen Fisher, Die Hard Flyers fan, who ripped open a gift from his aunt and discovered … a Sidney Crosby Pittsburgh Penguins jersey. His reaction, captured by his father, was incredible:

His aunt had purchased the sweater for Kohlsen’s cousin, but got the wrong size. So she and his father decided to re-gift it to a young Flyers fan, who responded by screaming “ewwwwww!”, shoving it away, generally treating it like a vampire would treat sunlit garlic.

It was cruel, but it was hilarious.

And it went viral, amassing over 550,000 views on YouTube.

Among those viewers? The Philadelphia Flyers, who felt they had to right this wrong for a young fan. So they sent a belated gift to the Fisher house addressed to “FLYERS FAN.”

It was a box, containing an autographed Claude Giroux jersey, a Flyers pennant, a Flyers blanket, a Flyers hat, a Flyers cup (HAHAHAHA … oh, not that Cup), Flyers sunglasses and an invitation for him and his family to meet Giroux at the Flyers’ game vs. the Boston Bruins.

It’s pretty much the cutest thing ever, and really nice work by the Flyers here. In the sense that they struck a blow for the forces of good and light and kept the Penguins bandwagon from adding another young soul.
