Wild goalie prospect scores two goals in four games (Video)

What do Dan Hamhuis, Brooks Orpik, Tanner Glass and Sergei Gonchar have in common?

They’ve all been outscored by a goalie this season.

Minnesota Wild goalie prospect Kaapo Kahkonen scored his second goal of the season in a Finnish friendly between the U20 national team and the U18 team – confidently flinging the puck down ice into an empty net.

(The appropriate response for any goalie goal is, of course, hearty laughter, as the video shows.)

The amazing thing is that this was Kahkonen’s second goal in his last four games.

Please recall this amazing scene in a Finnish second-tier Mestis league playoff game between TUTO and KooKoo, when the play-by-play guy went cuckoo after Kahkonen scored this goal.

One of the single greatest goal calls in the history of goals or calls.

Kaapo Kahkonen was drafted 109th overall in the 2014 NHL Draft by the Wild, who are no doubt thrilled that an 18-year-old goalie now has as many goals as Ryan Suter.
