Viktor Stalberg on shaving playoff beard: ‘I may be too drunk tonight’ (Video)

BOSTON – Viktor Stalberg’s journey to his first Stanley Cup championship wasn’t exactly smooth. He spent some time in Coach Joel Quenneville’s dog house, ending up as a healthy scratch twice. His ice time was cut. He didn’t tally a point in his four games in the Final.

But you know what? He’s a champion.

When asked who he’s most happy for after winning the Stanley Cup in Game 6 at the Boston Bruins, Stalberg said “myself at this point.” Which is pimp. (He went on to mention Jamal Mayers, Michal Handzus and Michal Rozsival as players who deserve the title.)

As you see, when asked when he’d shave his playoff beard, he said “maybe I’ll be too drunk tonight.”

Fare thee well Viktor Stalberg. This might have been your last game as a Blackhawk -- he's an unrestricted free agent -- but what a way to go.
