Tuesday’s Three Stars: Larsson, Clarkson help Devils even series with Flyers

No. 1 Star: David Clarkson, New Jersey Devils

It's been over three years since Clarkson last scored in the playoffs and Tuesday night he picked a good time to end that spell. Eight minutes after Adam Larsson tied things early in the third period, Clarkson pounced on a loose puck in front of Ilya Bryzgalov and gave the Devils the lead en route to a 4-1 win:

No. 2 Star: Adam Larsson, New Jersey Devils

In his first game of the playoffs, Larsson tied the game 3:08 into the third period with his first goal since Nov. 26:

No. 3 Star: Martin Brodeur, New Jersey Devils

Brodeur made 19 saves, including nine in the final period for his 104th career playoff victory. The win evens the series with Philadelphia 1-1.

Honorable mention: Matt Read's third goal of the playoffs was the only tally for the Flyers ... Travis Zajac is now tied for third with five playoff goals ... Bryce Salvador scored his first goal since March 2010 off a shot into an empty Philadelphia net that took many, many bounces:

Dishonorable mention: New Jersey outshot the Flyers 12-2 in the second period and 25-11 after two.
